"I had a really frustrating experience with..."
I had a really frustrating experience with their customer service. I messaged them about my order because I was genuinely worried something had gone wrong, and then I just heard nothing back for days.

I tried reaching out again, hoping someone would at least explain what was happening, but I still didn’t get a proper answer. It made me feel like I was being ignored, which feels awful when you’ve already paid and you’re just trying to get basic help.

Maybe other people have had better experiences, but mine was slow and stressful. I just didn’t feel looked after at all, so I wouldn’t use them again.

"Packaging was just fine"
The box showed up nice and tidy, and the game was safe inside. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it just did the job and everything arrived in good shape...

"Tracking barely updated at all"
The tracking really didn’t help much. It barely updated, so I had no idea where my order was most of the time. I’m sure other customers would appreciate more accurate updates too.

"Rewards are alright, just not a ton"
The points build up slowly, and the rewards feel about a little smaller than I was hoping for. Still, it’s something, so I can’t really complain too much.

"Pretty solid payment options tbh"
I grabbed a Switch game and the checkout was easy. I liked that they had PayPal and card options, which made it feel a bit safer for me. Would’ve been 5 stars if Apple Pay was available too, unless I just totally missed it lol. Still, no real hassle overall.

"Not really the bargain site it used to be"
I used to check this site often for game deals, so it’s not like I’m just complaining for no reason. It genuinely used to be worth a look. But lately the prices haven’t been great at all, even when they’re supposedly on sale. I’ve found the same games cheaper on Amazon and ShopTo more than once, so I don’t see the point in wasting time checking here anymore. If I’m going to shop around, I might as well go where the actual deals are...

The issue was eventually fixed, so I can’t really complain about the outcome. I just expected it to be handled a bit quicker, and the wait made the whole experience more frustrating than it needed to be.

"Straightforward site, no faffing about"
I’ve used The Game Collection a few times now and it’s just a really easy site to get around, I can search for PS5 games without ending up clicking through a million pages and it all feels straightforward which is exactly what I want when I’m just trying to buy something.

The checkout was quick as well and there weren’t any odd extra steps or confusing bits popping up, my account page is simple enough to use and I can see my order info without having to dig around everywhere which is always a nice change.
There’s not loads more to say really, it works well, it doesn’t make buying a game feel like a chore, and I’ll probably keep using it because it does what it needs to do without making a fuss.

I tried to buy a game, but the checkout kept freezing on me and then my payment randomly failed with no real explanation. I had to start the whole thing over twice, which got old fast. it gave me the impression they care more about pushing the sale than making the buying process actually work for customers. In the end, I just gave up. Not worth the hassle.

"Getting a replacement was a hassle"
I had to keep chasing them just to get a replacement sorted out. The replies were slow and didn’t really help much, that part was weird. It felt like I had to do way more follow-up than I should have

"Delivery costs are honestly frustrating"
The game prices can actually be decent, which is why it’s so annoying when the delivery cost gets added on and basically ruins the deal. By the time postage is included, it barely works out cheaper than buying somewhere else. I’d probably order from them more often if shipping was lower, or even free once you spend a small amount.

I ordered a game and, for some reason, it took way longer to arrive than I expected. The item itself was fine once it finally showed up, but the delivery speed was disappointing. Not sure I’d order from them again...

"Clear communication, just a little slow"
My gut feeling was that they were reliable, and overall the communication was good. They got back to my question in a reasonable amount of time and explained things clearly. It wasn’t the fastest response ever, but it was helpful and didn’t turn into any hassle.

"Arrived in really poor condition"
I ordered this game because it was listed as new, but when it arrived it looked like it had been knocked around a warehouse for ages. The case was cracked, the cover was bent, and the disc was rattling loose inside. I’ve actually bought used games that showed up in better condition than this. It was especially frustrating because it was supposed to be a gift. Personally, I wouldn’t take the chance ordering from here again.

I’ve checked a few times and they usually seem to have the games I’m looking for in stock, which is nice because I hate getting my hopes up and then finding out something’s unavailable. Straightforward experience overall, no complaints really.

"Preorder felt like a bait and switch"
I was really excited to preorder, but the whole thing ended up being a letdown. It showed up late, and there were basically no helpful updates along the way. it kind of felt like a bait and switch, lots of hype up front, then silence once they had my order.

"Return was fairly painless"
I ended up ordering the wrong version of a game and was a bit worried I’d be stuck with it or lose money on the mistake. Thankfully, the return instructions on the site were easy to follow, and support got back to me within a day, which helped calm that down.

The refund did take a little longer than I was hoping after they received it back, so I was checking more than I’d like, just to make sure it wasn’t going to disappear into limbo. It did come through in the end though, so while it wasn’t totally perfect, it was still a low-stress return overall.

"Dispatch can be a bit hit or miss"
I’ve had mixed experiences with the dispatch times. Sometimes my order gets sent out really quickly, other times it feels like I’m waiting forever, which is a bit stressful when I’m in a hurry. Overall it’s fine, just not the most reliable.
